Target Coupon $5 off $20 Bath Tissue and Paper Towels

Look for this Target coupon in the Sunday 4/20 weekly Target ad.  Save $5 off a bath tissue and/or paper towel purchase of $20 or more.  The coupon is also printable at the Target.com website; just view the ad and scroll through until you see the coupon.  Click to print.  Coupon expires 4/26.

If Target is a listed competitor of your local Publix, you may be able to use it at Publix.  Be sure to check with customer service before you shop so you don't waste your time and get frustrated at the register.

Beefy Stroganoff with Green Beans vs. Fast Food Cost

Things have been really crazy busy at my house lately.  Planning to make spaghetti tonight for dinner, I made a quick trip to Publix for ground beef this afternoon.  The gal at the Aprons station was serving up this Beefy Stroganoff with Homestyle Green Beans recipe.

This was absolutely delicious and I'm sure even my kids will like it.  Since I was in a hurry, I tossed all the ingredients (conveniently located at the Aprons station) into my cart and headed to check out.

Sure, this meal is convenient to shop for, but how does the price of this meal stack up to a fast food meal?  (If I didn't list a price, it means that it's a pantry item that we should have on hand.)

Ingredients:
1 small yellow onion $1.09
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon minced garlic $1.39
1 lb lean ground beef, 7% fat (I bought 1.5 lbs. for $8.84)
4 oz pre-sliced fresh baby portabellas $2.29
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup flour
8 oz wide egg noodles $1.89
1 (10.5-oz) can condensed beef broth $1
1 (8-oz) container sour cream $2.49
2 (14.5-oz) cans Italian green beans (drain 1 can) $.69 each
1 tablespoon cooked bacon pieces $2
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 drops liquid smoke flavoring $1.99

I spent $24.36 on all the ingredients to make this meal the first time.  However, I will have extra minced garlic, bacon pieces, and liquid smoke flavoring for next time (and beyond).  I should be able to pick up the ingredients for subsequent meals for about $18.98, less if I shop sales and/or use coupons.

Update:  There were leftovers after feeding five, so this made about eight servings.  That makes it $3.05 per serving, not bad for a delicious meal!

You may think this is expensive for a meal, but I have been so rushed lately that we have ended up getting bags of fast food or carryout pizza.  That can easily cost $20-25 per meal for a family of four.  I'll be working this recipe into my weekly rotation!

To view the complete recipe and instructions on the Publix Aprons website, click HERE.  I will also add the link to my recipe tab.  I have a collection of fabulous recipes from other bloggers, websites, and some of my very own as well.  Check it out HERE.

Three Target Coupons in the Weekly Ad

The Target ad included in yesterday's 4/13 Sunday paper has some great coupons to use at Publix if Target is a listed competitor.  As always, ask customer service if they are accepting a particular coupon if there is any doubt.

I do know there was a Target coupon a few weeks ago that Publix was not accepting, so the policy varies from coupon to coupon.  I dug my Target ads out of the recycling bin anyway just in case.

$1/2 Easter chocolate candy bags 9 oz. or larger - front of ad
$5/$25 Apparel and/or accessories purchase - page 18, use at Target
$10/$50 Food and/or beverage purchase - page 39, next to last page of ad

Wonka Candy, Minute Maid,' Thomas and Kellogg's Cereal Coupons

Easter is right around the corner, so it's time to start thinking candy.  There a few Wonka coupons available to print today:

$.75/1 Wonka Candy Stand-up bag 10-12 oz.
$1.50/1 Wonka Hard To Find Egg Hunt Kit (available at Target)
$1/1 Wonka Randoms Stand -up bag 10 oz.
$1/2 Nestle or Wonka Fun Size bags 10-12.5 oz.

I also found a few other good coupons you may also want to print:
$1/4 Minute Maid fruit drink or lemonade 59 oz. carton
$3/3 Kellogg's Cereals - Rice Krispies, Smacks, and Froot Loops are BOGO through 4/19
$.50/1 any Thomas' product - English Muffins BOGO through 4/19

To quickly have all coupons listed above pre-clipped and listed first, click HERE.  Simply un-clip any you don't need.  Each coupon can usually be printed twice per computer.

Coppertone Sunscreen HIGH VALUE Coupon $3 off Two + Hot Air Balloons

Print this HIGH VALUE coupon for $3 off two Coppertone Sunscreen products (2 oz. or larger).  Living in Florida, we can never have enough sunscreen!  With the beaches, outdoor activities and sports, and just plain working around the yard, chances of getting a sunburn are great.  We spent most of last weekend outdoors at Sun n Fun and ended up a little pink, so it's time for stocking up on sunscreen so there is no excuse not to take it along and use it.

$3/2 Coppertone Sunscreen products (2 oz. or larger) MQ - printable

If you are shopping today or tomorrow, there is a coupon for $2/1 Coppertone Sport, Continuous Spray or General Protection Product 3-12 oz. in the purple flyer.  This coupon expires Friday 4/11.  Most printable coupons can be printed twice per computer.  Publix coupons can be "stacked" with a manufacturer coupon for awesome savings.

I put together this collage to share some of the fantastic hot air balloons that lifted off Saturday morning.  It was quite the sight and I look forward to seeing this every year!

Egg Coupon on Facebook $.55 off Two Dozen Eggs

Head over to the Incredible Edible Egg Facebook page and grab a coupon for $.55/2 Dozen Eggs!

You must "like" the page and then you will be taken to another page to print your coupon.  I was able to get two prints.

If you will use this coupon, be sure to print it right away.  Supplies are limited and they will probably go fast.  Easter is right around the corner, so we'll need to stock up for egg-coloring!
